Disc vs peg bead mill: compare the grinding system on one trial basis.

Disc and peg describe internal grinding-system concepts, not a universal performance ranking. “Pin” may also appear in supplier vocabulary, but the proposal must define the term and identify the exact named system, chamber context and trial configuration before two quotations are compared.

The grinding system is one part of a complete bead-mill proposal. Compare it without allowing the name to absorb the separate media, separator, pass-mode or flow decisions.

Disc, peg and pin vocabulary may not identify identical geometry across suppliers. Request the supplier's own description, named configuration and controlled drawing or data reference instead of assuming equivalence from the label.

Is a peg bead mill always better than a disc bead mill?

No. The cited OEM pages show that different named grinding systems exist and are selected in product and machine context. They do not establish a universal performance ranking. Compare the exact proposed configurations with the same representative material and acceptance basis.

Are peg and pin the same term in every bead-mill proposal?

Do not assume that they are interchangeable across suppliers. Ask each supplier to define its terminology and attach the name to a controlled architecture description, drawing or data reference for the exact candidate machine.

Does choosing a disc or peg system also select the grinding media or separator?

No. Media material and size, media-retention mechanism, operating route, hold-up or flow basis, temperature control, cleaning and wear need separate review and supplier confirmation, even though they interact with the complete mill configuration.

Can one OEM's laboratory or production result be transferred to another bead mill?

Not automatically. Keep the formulation, feed state, rheology, grinding system, chamber, media, separator, operating route, temperature history, sampling and measurement method attached to the result. Review differences and run a representative trial before production release.
