Equipment questions
A high-speed disperser is selected for a dispersion duty such as powder wet-out and agglomerate breakdown. A general mixer may be selected mainly for circulation, blending or suspension. The required batch result should decide the equipment category.
The vessel, liquid level, disc position and batch rheology influence how material circulates through the active zone. Describing only the drive leaves out much of the process context.
Yes, pre-dispersion can be an upstream stage for wet grinding. The required feed condition should be agreed from the bead-mill route rather than assumed from the disperser alone.
