Record product identity, formulation and lot, process stage, sampling location and time, sample quantity, homogenization or splitting, temperature and hold history.

Define the intended particle state
State whether the method should preserve process-state agglomerates or disperse them under an agreed preparation. Record the dispersant, additives, dilution, stirring, ultrasound and timing without assuming that more dispersion energy is always better.

Freeze the measurement method
Record the method and edition, instrument and dispersion accessory, analysis model and optical inputs, concentration or obscuration, measurement duration, replicate plan and report settings.

Write the release expression
State each percentile with its weighting and unit, the agreed limit or range, summary and retest rule, plus a separate oversize or coarse-tail criterion when that risk matters.
