Entry position changes where the vessel is penetrated, how loads and shaft support are reviewed, where leakage can occur, which working levels remain relevant and how the mixer is accessed, removed, cleaned and accepted. The position name alone does not prove circulation, suitability or performance.

One position, several coupled decisions

Entry position is a vessel-and-process topology—not a stand-alone mixer feature.

This page allocates RFQ questions and evidence. It does not select an agitator, size a shaft or vessel interface, perform a calculation, prescribe a safety method or publish an operating recommendation.

Hold the process duty and working levels constant

Define circulation, blending, suspension, heat-transfer support or another required result by batch stage. Record the minimum, normal and maximum working states so a position label is not used in place of a material-path review.

Treat the vessel penetration as a controlled interface

The responsible parties must review the proposed roof, shell or bottom opening, attachment, reinforcement, reactions, clearances, internal obstructions and as-built vessel basis for the exact candidate—not borrow an interface from another arrangement.

Keep sealing, leakage and service access together

Record the process and cleaning exposure, pressure state, seal-support boundary, credible leak destination, inspection access, isolation, lifting, shaft-removal route and work-area responsibilities for the proposed position.

Separate topology evidence from supplier capability

A named OEM page can show that a mounting category exists in that OEM's portfolio. It does not establish that another supplier offers the same equipment, geometry, materials, documentation, certification, calculation, testing or result.

Record formulation identity, phase sequence, rheology by stage, solids, working quantities, levels, temperature, pressure state, duties and measurable endpoint.

Buyer decision FAQ

An entry-position label becomes useful only when its interfaces and evidence are explicit.

What is the difference between top-, side- and bottom-entry agitators?

The shaft enters through a different vessel surface, changing the proposed penetration, support and load path, shaft and seal arrangement, working-level relationship, access, removal, drainage and cleaning questions. Those differences do not establish a universal process result or preferred position.

Can agitator entry position be selected from viscosity alone?

No. Keep the complete rheology record beside the process duty, phase and addition sequence, solids, vessel geometry, working levels, internals, temperature, pressure state, cleaning, site and acceptance basis.

Is side entry automatically the right choice for a large tank?

No default recommendation is supported here. The exact material, tank, required motion, levels, interfaces, loads, seal, access, site and supplier evidence must be reviewed as one candidate configuration.

Does bottom entry automatically prove hygienic or CIP performance?

No. Position alone proves neither cleanability nor sanitary status. Product and cleaning exposure, surfaces, seals, residue and drain paths, access, cleaning method, inspection, validation where applicable and configuration-matched records remain separate evidence.

Does ISO 12100 select an agitator position or certify the package?

No. The current published standard provides general machinery risk-assessment and risk-reduction principles within its scope. It does not choose the agitator topology, perform the project assessment, approve the vessel or certify a JINPIONEER package.

Does this page mean JINPIONEER supplies top-, side- or bottom-entry agitators?

No. It publishes an RFQ and evidence-allocation framework only. Equipment availability, engineering, calculations, analysis, testing, materials, certification, installation, maintenance, acceptance and performance remain unconfirmed until project-specific supplier and buyer evidence is reviewed and approved.
